Rehearsals Suspended until April 9, 2020
We had a short meeting after our rehearsal on March 12th to discuss future rehearsals in light of the current public health emergency. Given the continuing spread of the coronavirus and the demographics of the choir, we decided to suspend rehearsals until April 9th.
Our Spring Concert is still scheduled for May 31st at Madison’s Turner Hall, but we will re-evaluate this in April.

Strassenfest in Plain – Cancelled
Some bad news this morning: we’ve heard from our friends in Plain, and Strassenfest has been cancelled due to the rain that is moving into the area.

Cemetery Sing 2019
On Sunday August 25, 2019 we had our annual “cemetery sing” outing. This is a chance for the choir to visit cemeteries where past members are buried, sing some songs and share memories of the departed. We also make a few stops along the way to visit some of the businesses that support the Madison Maennerchor.
This year we visited Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona, Resurrection Cemetery in Madison and Forest Lawn Cemetery in Madison.
