Visitors from Canada

At our rehearsal on April 9th, we had some special visitors from Calgary: Paul Hermann and his daughter Dorothy. Paul sang with the Maennerchor while he was in an exchange student at the University back in 1951-52. So he was a part of the choir during the centennial year of 1952.

Oakwood Village 2015

We performed at Oakwood Village on Thursday March 19, 2015 at the invitation of our friend Dick Layman who used to sing with the Maennerchor and is now retired. The concert began at 7:00 pm and we had a nice crowd in the auditorium. Afterward, we moved upstairs to the dining room and enjoyed snacks and other refreshments, and we sang a song or two as well.

Packer Party 2015-01-18

Madison Turners hosted another Packer Party on Sunday January 18. The Maennerchor was well-represented as the Packers took on the Seahawks for the NFC championship. The food was great and there were shots each time the Packers scored. Everything seemed to be going pretty well until the last 5 minutes of the game, when the Packers managed to snatch defeat out of the mouth of victory.
