On Saturday October 1st we sang at the inaugural Oktoberfest celebration at the Edgewater Hotel. The weather was not the best, to say the least, and it didn’t help that the Badger football game was on TV inside the hotel, but a few hardy souls endured the elements to hear us sing. The band that was supposed to play after our performance actually cancelled because of the rain.
All things considered it was a pretty good outing, though of course it would have been better if the Badgers had not lost to Michigan.
Here are a few pictures from out time at the Edgewater. As always click on the thumbnail image to see the larger photo.

Looking across Lake Mendota towards the UW campus through the scattered rain showers, or "Norwegian sunshine" as they say.

The action was set up on the plaza. The tent on the right covers the stage and the tent on the left has the beer.

The Edgewater plaza is a pretty nice space, except for all of the Norwegian sunshine we had today.

This was about all the warming up that we did: standing around in front of the beer tent. At least the rain had stopped for a few minutes.
