If  the Madison Männerchor is the second-oldest German Men’s Chorus in the US, which is the oldest?

The Columbus Männerchor in Ohio was founded in 1846 as a men’s chorus by 12 German Immigrants eager to preserve the music and memories of their homeland, here; in their chosen land.  Through the years, a women’s chorus, Damenchor  and a children’s chorus, Kinderchor  as well as many social events and a German Restaurant have been added to the club. The club has has a very nice, welcoming appearance. Wouldn’t you want to go in and savor a few brews? The well crafted web site shows that there are lots of goings-on. This will definitely be on my visit list if I have an opportunity to be in Columbus.
