Close to the northwest portion of Lake Mendota, this area has a pond, a water fountain play area designed for children, and fine picnic facilities. About 60 were there to enjoy the festivities, and yes, the rain. The rain did not dampen our spirits, as MMC members can break out in song in any weather and occasion. Kudos go to Klaus Bodenstein for his excellent grill technique, and thanks go to all who brought side dishes and desserts.
